2. Ask ChatGPT and Perplexity for a product recommendation in your category. — Are you mentioned? Recommendations are where AI shopping happens.

4. Read your top 3 product titles out loud. — Would a stranger know what they are with no photos? AI can't see your images the way shoppers do.

7. Read your homepage headline. — Plain words about what you sell, or a slogan? Machines don't decode slogans.
8. Check one product page for visible ratings or reviews. — Can an assistant quote social proof? Quotable proof gets cited.
9. Is your pricing and inventory current? — AI pulls catalog data in real time; stale data means wrong answers.
10. Ask Perplexity: "What are the best [your category] brands?" — Where do you rank, if at all? This is the closest thing to an AI search ranking.
